Cyber Security – Necessity of today’s world

Today’s age is the age of internet, where any information is now available to you from your phone. Nowadays people spend most of their time with these digital things. While apps are now playing a bigger role in most people’s online conversations than traditional websites, that doesn’t mean the Internet’s basic security rules have changed.  Hackers are still searching for personal information that they can use to access your credit card and bank information. Unsafe surfing can lead to other dangers – from embarrassing personal comments or images once they are online And, to associate with people who have nothing to do with you, it’s almost impossible to delete.

To help you avoid these troubles, here are some internet security rules that you can follow to ensure your digital security: –

1. Use Safe Browsing: – Always use Safe Browsing and always go to the official website directly from the browser instead of clicking on any link to visit a website.  Cybercriminals know that people are sometimes deceived by suspicious content and when they search for it, they can turn off their security checks and this one careless click can expose your personal data or infect your device with malware.  So, avoid clicking on any of these links.

7. Use a secure internet connection: – When you are online in a public place.  For example, on public Wi-Fi connection You don’t have direct control over the security of public Wi-Fi. These are the places where a private network connects with the outside world. Your weak end point is your local internet connection Make sure your device is secure and wait a better time when you suspect that connection is not secure (i.e., until you are able to connect to a secure Wi-Fi network).

 8. Always use discretion when posting: – Internet has no deleting key Any comments or images you post online can stay online forever because deleting the original (say, from Twitter) does not remove any copies made by other people.  You have no way of “withdrawing” the comment Don’t put anything online that you don’t want anyone to show you.

 9. Shop online from secure sites: – Whenever you shop online, you need to provide credit card or bank account information – that’s where cyber criminals are most eager to get their hands on.  Give this information only to sites that provide secure, encrypted connections You can identify protected sites by searching for addresses instead of https: (protected for Safe); not just http: they can also be marked by a padlock icon next to the address bar.

 10. Be careful with people you meet online: – The people you meet online are not always what they claim.  In fact, they can’t really be Avoid fake social media profiles as they can also be cyber criminals Just as you are conscious and intelligent in your social life, so you should be wise in your personal social life.

 11. Download Precautions: – One of the main purposes of a cyber-criminal is to entice you to download programs or apps that contain malware or attempt to steal information.  This malware can be turned into an app, or a popular game Never download apps that you find suspicious or come from a site you don’t trust.

 6. अपने एंटीवायरस प्रोग्राम को हमेशा अपडेट रखें: – इंटरनेट सुरक्षा सॉफ्टवेयर हर खतरे से बचाता नहीं है, लेकिन यह अधिकांश मैलवेयर का पता लगाता है और हटाता है – हालांकि आपको यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि आपको अपने डिवाइस के एंटीवायरस के लिए समय पर अपडेट मिल जाए। वे सुरक्षा की एक महत्वपूर्ण परत प्रदान करते हैं।

 8. पोस्ट करते समय हमेशा विवेक का इस्तेमाल करें: – इंटरनेट में कोई डिलीटिंग की नहीं है। आपके द्वारा ऑनलाइन पोस्ट की जाने वाली कोई भी टिप्पणी या चित्र हमेशा के लिए ऑनलाइन रह सकते हैं क्योंकि मूल (ट्विटर से कहना) को हटाना अन्य लोगों द्वारा की गई किसी भी प्रतिलिपि को नहीं हटाता है। आपके पास टिप्पणी को वापस लेने का कोई तरीका नहीं है।  इसलिए ऐसा कुछ भी ऑनलाइन मत रखो जो कि तुम किसी को नहीं दिखाना चाहते।

 9. सुरक्षित साइटों से ऑनलाइन खरीदारी करें: – जब भी आप ऑनलाइन खरीदारी करते हैं, तो आपको क्रेडिट कार्ड या बैंक खाते की जानकारी प्रदान करने की आवश्यकता होती है। यही वह जगह है जहाँ साइबर अपराधी अपना हाथ पाने के लिए सबसे अधिक उत्सुक होते हैं। यह जानकारी केवल उन साइटों को दें, जो सुरक्षित, एन्क्रिप्टेड कनेक्शन प्रदान करती हैं। आप https: (सुरक्षित के लिए संरक्षित) के पते की खोज करके संरक्षित साइटों की पहचान कर सकते हैं, न कि केवल http: उन्हें पता बार के बगल में एक पैडलॉक आइकन(ताले के चिह्न) द्वारा भी चिह्नित किया जा सकता है।

10. उन लोगों से सावधान रहें जिनसे आप ऑनलाइन मिलते हैं: – जिन लोगों से आप ऑनलाइन मिलते हैं, वे हमेशा वैसा नहीं होते जैसा वे दावा करते हैं। वास्तव में, वे वास्तव में नहीं हो सकते। फर्जी सोशल मीडिया प्रोफाइल से बचें क्योंकि वे साइबर अपराधी भी हो सकते हैं। जैसे आप अपने सामाजिक जीवन में जागरूक और बुद्धिमान हैं, वैसे ही आपको अपने व्यक्तिगत सामाजिक जीवन में भी समझदार होना चाहिए।

 11. डाउनलोड सावधानियां: – साइबर अपराधी का एक मुख्य उद्देश्य आपको ऐसे प्रोग्राम या ऐप डाउनलोड करने के लिए लुभाना है, जिनमें मैलवेयर होते हैं या जानकारी चुराने का प्रयास किया जाता है। इस मैलवेयर को एक ऐप या एक लोकप्रिय गेम में बदल दिया जा सकता है। उन ऐप्स को कभी भी डाउनलोड न करें, जिन्हें आप संदिग्ध पाते हैं या ऐसी साइट से आते हैं जिस पर आपको भरोसा नहीं है।
